Conveyancing Assistant – High-Volume, Supportive Team Environment

I’m working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation within the property sector, offering an excellent opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join a busy and collaborative team. This is a great role for someone with at least 12 months’ experience in residential conveyancing or remortgage work, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a high level of client service.

You’ll be supporting experienced conveyancers with a varied caseload, playing a key role in ensuring transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing a high standard of customer service to clients and corporate referrers
  • Supporting a conveyancer to meet conversion and service targets
  • Managing files (both electronic and paper) efficiently
  • Chasing key parties including clients, solicitors, lenders and third parties for updates and documentation
  • Handling enquiries on sale and purchase transactions
  • Assisting with exchanges and completions
  • Requesting and chasing funds from lenders, clients and other solicitors
  • Preparing, issuing and checking legal documents
  • Inputting and interpreting key data such as mortgage offers and redemption figures
What I’m looking for:
  • Around 12 months’ experience within residential conveyancing or remortgage work
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage a high-volume workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous administrative or customer service experience within a legal or property setting
