📍 London | Hybrid Working
We're working with a fabulous international law firm looking for a Risk & Compliance Officer to join its Business Acceptance team. This is a great opportunity to build your career within a high-performing, collaborative team at a firm with a strong international presence and a fabulous and supportive compliance culture.
The Role
As a Risk & Compliance Officer, you'll be part of a centralised global team responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, managing client onboarding, and maintaining best practices across AML, conflicts, and client due diligence (CDD). Supporting client matter inception, ensuring risk procedures are met, and collaborating with fee earners and business services teams globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting client and matter onboarding, including conflict checks, CDD, and matter opening using the firm’s intake platform (IntApp)
- Conducting AML and sanctions checks, reviewing KYC documentation, and escalating concerns to the MLRO
- Reviewing and maintaining engagement terms and client-imposed conditions
- Monitoring client and matter risk throughout the matter lifecycle
- Assisting with setting up information barriers and confidentiality controls
- Generating reports and supporting internal audits and compliance monitoring
- Contributing to internal training and process improvement projects
- Liaising with teams across Risk, Conflicts, Revenue, and Business Development to ensure accurate and compliant processes
About You?
✔️ Minimum 2 years’ experience in a compliance role, within a law firm
✔️ Experience in AML, CDD and regulatory compliance
✔️ Confident communicator
✔️ Collaborative and resilient, with a proactive and detail-focused approach
