The Role

  • Become a key member of an established Commercial Property team based in Sutton Coldfield.
  • Take responsibility for a diverse portfolio of commercial property matters on behalf of an established client base.
  • Advise on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, including matters involving investors, developers and owner-managed businesses.
  • Handle commercial leases, licences, renewals and related property documentation.
  • Provide advice on property finance and transactions involving secured lending.
  • Deal with more complex and strategic matters including options, pre-emption arrangements and overage provisions.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing clients and play an active part in attracting new business.
  • Work alongside colleagues across the wider firm to provide clients with joined-up commercial advice.
  • Bring your own ideas and experience to the department and help contribute to its continued growth.
  • Take on a role that combines fee-earning responsibility with the opportunity to develop your profile and influence within the practice.

You

  • A Commercial Property Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years' experience.
  • Experienced across a broad range of commercial property transactions.
  • Comfortable managing matters independently while knowing when to draw on the expertise of colleagues.
  • Commercially aware and capable of translating technical legal advice into practical solutions for clients.
  • Confident dealing with a varied client base including developers, investors, landlords, business owners and landowners.
  • Naturally relationship-focused, with the ability to establish trust and develop long-term client connections.
  • Ambitious and motivated to contribute to business development as well as fee earning.
  • Able to identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and develop new sources of work.
  • A strong communicator who can work effectively with clients, colleagues and external professional advisers.
  • Interested in taking on greater responsibility and helping to build something rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
  • A potential team leader who can bring experience, enthusiasm and direction to an established commercial property function.
