The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 4 years' PQE and be comfortable dealing with a broad range of litigation matters, preferably within a strong environment with complex work. You will be expected to deal with a mix of commercial litigation disputes from corporate litigation to partner disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence and property disputes on behalf of both blue chip companies and SMEs.
The firm enjoys a superb reputation in the local area and is well established as a key Lancashire player. The firm as a whole is made up of 30 staff (including support staff) so although not the largest firm in the area in terms of head count, they do enjoy a strong presence in the local market and have a regular flow of work coming in from returning clients and from recommendations, word of mouth and as a result of their general reputation.
The firm adopts quite a relaxed approach to the way it operates and operates a quality over quantity approach. It prefers to focus on their clients' satisfaction and results that their clients are happy with rather than trying to bill as much as possible on each matter and setting high targets. They adopt a very "grown up" type attitude across the practice and allow their lawyers plenty of autonomy which they feel creates a happier and more productive firm and allows them to continue to provide a very client-centered service.
