Client Onboarding Lead
Hertfordshire
We\’re currently working with a leading regional law firm in Hertfordshire, looking to expand their compliance team. They are seeking a candidate to step into a supervisory role, managing a small team to ensure excellent client service and regulatory compliance.
The role
- Supervise and mentor New Business Assistants
- Monitor workflow and performance to meet SLAs and deadlines
- Provide training, onboarding, and guidance to junior team members
- Escalate issues to the Head of Operations when necessary
- Oversee client onboarding for property and private client matters
- Carry out AML checks, sanctions checks, and conflict checks
- Review and record client ID, liaising directly with clients as needed
- Ensure client care letters, terms of service, and file openings are accurate and timely
- Support with file closures and retrievals following firm policies
About you
Experience in client services or compliance within the legal sector
Previous team supervision or mentoring experience
Confident communicator with clients and colleagues
Knowledge of law firm compliance requirements (AML, SRA, etc.)
