An established and highly respected Cheshire law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal to join its growing property department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2 years' residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and well-structured team.

You will support experienced fee earners on a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, assisting from instruction through to post-completion. Matters will include freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, shared ownership transactions and new build properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors.
  • Opening new files and managing transactions through the conveyancing process.
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence and completion statements.
  • Ordering searches and reviewing conveyancing documentation.
  • Preparing exchange and completion packs.
  • Assisting with post-completion matters and Land Registry applications.
  • Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing proactive support to fee earners to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience within a UK residential conveyancing department.
  • Experience assisting with freehold and leasehold transactions.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach to work.
  • Ambition to develop a long-term career within residential property.
