Residential Conveyancing Assistant – Macclesfield – Up to Β£28,000 An established and highly respected Cheshire law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal to join its growing property department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2 years' residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and well-structured team. You'll work alongside experienced conveyancers and solicitors, gaining exposure to a broad range of residential property matters while benefiting from ongoing training and clear progression opportunities. The Role: You will support experienced fee earners on a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, assisting from instruction through to post-completion. Matters will include freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, shared ownership transactions and new build properties. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors. β€’ Opening new files and managing transactions through the conveyancing process. β€’ Drafting legal documents, correspondence and completion statements. β€’ Ordering searches and reviewing conveyancing documentation. β€’ Preparing exchange and completion packs. β€’ Assisting with post-completion matters and Land Registry applications. β€’ Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate records. β€’ Providing proactive support to fee earners to ensure transactions progress efficiently. Requirements: β€’ At least 2 years' experience within a UK residential conveyancing department. β€’ Experience assisting with freehold and leasehold transactions. β€’ Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. β€’ Excellent client care and communication skills. β€’ A proactive and positive approach to work. β€’ Ambition to develop a long-term career within residential property.
