An established and highly regarded multi-office law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join its Private Client team in Clitheroe. The Role

  • Audio typing and preparation of correspondence and legal documents
  • Opening, closing and maintaining client files
  • Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
  • Preparing outgoing post, documents and enclosures
  • Handling telephone calls and meeting clients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Maintaining accurate filing and document management systems
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to fee earners
  • Supporting other members of the secretarial team when required
  • Assisting and providing guidance to junior or temporary secretarial staff
  • Undertaking relevant training and contributing to ongoing professional development

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have previous Legal Secretary or Legal PA experience, with experience within Private Client, Wills, Probate, Trusts or Lasting Powers of Attorney particularly advantageous. You will be organised, proactive and confident managing a busy workload, with strong audio typing and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach are essential.
