We're working with a fabulous growing full-service law firm who are looking to strengthen their Risk & Compliance team with the appointment of a Risk & Compliance Officer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in legal compliance, risk management, AML, or onboarding to join a supportive team and gain broad exposure across all areas of law firm risk and compliance.

Working closely with the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s regulatory obligations, maintaining high standards of compliance, and providing guidance across the business.

  • Responding to compliance queries relating to client onboarding, AML, source of funds checks, GDPR and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the maintenance and development of the firm’s policies, controls and procedures
  • Conducting AML, Source of Funds and Source of Wealth audits, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Carrying out electronic AML and conflict checks
  • Supporting Lexcel, CQS, WIQS and other quality accreditations
  • Delivering compliance and risk training for new starters and ensuring materials remain up to date
  • Maintaining key compliance registers including complaints, claims, GDPR and conflicts
  • Supporting professional indemnity claims and circumstances, including liaison with insurers and external solicitors where required
  • Assisting with regulatory reporting, audits and compliance projects
  • Keeping up to date with changes in legislation, regulation and professional standards

  • Experienced within legal risk and compliance
  • Familiar with law firm processes, regulatory requirements and professional standards
  • Confident handling AML, onboarding and risk management queries
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, partners and wider business teams
  • Proactive, resilient and able to manage competing priorities
