Residential Conveyancing Solicitor / Conveyancer, Birmingham, Auction Property, Leading Regional Firm
Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancer with auction experience looking for a role offering a varied caseload and the backing of one of the region's largest property teams?
This is an opportunity to join a large and growing regional law firm within its Birmingham city centre office, taking on a specialist role combining general Residential Conveyancing with auction property work.
The Firm
A large and established regional law firm with a substantial presence across Birmingham, the Midlands and surrounding areas.
The firm has a particularly strong Residential Property offering and provides its Conveyancers with the infrastructure, support and career opportunities of a sizeable practice.
You'll join an established Birmingham team while also benefiting from the expertise and resources of a much wider Residential Property department.
The Role
Based in Birmingham city centre, you will manage your own Residential Property caseload with minimal supervision, including both standard conveyancing transactions and auction work.
Your caseload will include:
- Auction sales and purchases
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages and transfers of equity
- Shared ownership and Right to Buy transactions
- Lease extensions and Deeds of Variation
- Managing transactions within tight and sometimes deadline-critical timescales
Auction conveyancing forms an important part of the role, so you'll need to be comfortable working at pace and managing the tighter deadlines associated with auction transactions.
Alongside your caseload, you'll develop relationships with clients, estate agents and lenders and provide support and guidance to more junior members of the team where appropriate.
You
You could be a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or an experienced non-qualified Conveyancer with a proven track record of independently managing Residential Property matters.
You'll need at least three years' relevant experience and, importantly, previous experience handling auction conveyancing.
You should be comfortable managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision, commercially aware and confident working to targets and deadlines.
You'll also need strong client-facing skills and the ability to build good relationships with agents, lenders and other professional contacts.
If you enjoy the pace of conveyancing and want a role offering something more specialist than a purely standard sales and purchases caseload, the auction element makes this an interesting opportunity.
Benefits
- Generous bonus scheme
- 25 days' annual leave plus
