Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer Location: West Kirby\n Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE\n Job Type: Full Time\n Working Arrangement: Hybrid working available\n \n \n The Opportunity A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor / Residential Conveyancer to join its established residential property team.\n \n \n This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Residential Property Lawyer with 3+ years' PQE to join a supportive and collaborative team where quality of work, client service and professional development are genuinely valued.\n \n \n The firm has built a strong reputation for providing a high-quality, client-focused legal service and offers a positive working environment where individuals are supported to develop their careers.\n \n Salary is up to £45,000 depending on experience, alongside a strong benefits package and hybrid working.\n \n \n About You The successful candidate will ideally have at least 3 years' PQE or equivalent experience in residential conveyancing and be confident managing a caseload of residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.\n \n \n You will be an organised, commercially aware and client-focused Residential Property Solicitor or Conveyancer who can work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.\n \n \n You should have:\n \n \n

  • 3+ years' PQE or equivalent residential conveyancing experience

  • Strong knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures
  • \n

  • Experience managing residential property transactions from instruction to completion

  • Excellent communication and client care skills

  • \n

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • \n

  • The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities

  • Experience dealing with lenders, estate agents and other third parties

\nKey Responsibilities As a Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer, you will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters, including:\n \n \n

  • Taking instructions from clients and providing clear, practical legal advice
  • \n

  • Managing residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion
  • \n

  • Dealing with sales, purchases and associated conveyancing matters
  • \n

  • Liaising with clients, lenders, mortgage brokers, estate agents and other solicitors
  • \n

  • Reviewing contracts, searches, survey reports and mortgage offers
  • \n

  • Advising clients on property ownership and associated legal issues
  • \n

  • Ensuring compliance with lender requirements
  • \n

  • Conducting client due diligence, conflict checks and ongoing risk assessments
  • \n

  • Dealing with source of funds and source of wealth requirements
  • \n

  • Advising clients on SDLT and other transaction-related liabilities
  • \n

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, SDLT forms and other conveyancing documentation
  • \n

  • Managing exchange of contracts and completion deadlines
  • \n

  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and keeping them updated throughout transactions
  • \n

  • Dealing with post-completion requirements, including Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
  • \n

  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring all key dates are diarised
  • \n

  • Ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory and internal procedures
  • \n

  • Accurately recording time and adhering to billing and performance targets
  • \n

  • Contributing to business development, networking and relationship-building activity where appropriate
