I'm recruiting for a Legal Administrator to join the busy Residential Property New Build team of a respected North East law firm based in Stockton-on-Tees.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing experience who enjoys providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support and wants to become part of a friendly, collaborative and supportive legal team.

  • Preparing files for exchange and completion, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting with post-completion administration and associated conveyancing procedures.
  • Activating NHBC warranties and similar new build property policies.
  • Liaising with clients, property developers and other third parties, providing regular updates on transactions.
  • Preparing client completion statements, invoices, payment requisitions and paying-in slips.
  • Providing general administrative and secretarial support to the wider Residential Property team.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have previous experience working as a Legal Administrator, Legal Secretary or Conveyancing Administrator within a residential conveyancing department.

Experience of new build conveyancing would be particularly advantageous.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy legal environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when preparing legal documentation.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and legal case management systems.
  • Confident communication skills and a professional approach to dealing with clients and third parties.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative legal team.
