Dispute Resolution Solicitor – Greater Manchester Salary: £42,000–£45,000, depending on experience
An established law firm is looking to recruit a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join its team, handling a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to develop their career within a broad dispute resolution practice, working on complex and varied cases while providing commercially focused advice to clients.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with excellent technical ability, sound commercial awareness and a proactive approach to resolving disputes and building lasting client relationships.
The Role: You will manage a varied caseload of contentious matters from inception through to conclusion, providing high-quality legal advice across a broad range of civil litigation and dispute resolution matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of civil and commercial disputes, including landlord and tenant disputes, director disputes, contractual disputes, employment disputes, debt claims, probate disputes, land and property disputes, and professional negligence claims.
- Providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients on contentious matters.
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings, witness statements and other legal documentation.
- Representing clients in mediations, settlement negotiations and court hearings where appropriate.
- Conducting legal research and advising on complex and developing areas of law.
- Identifying practical solutions and using alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods wherever appropriate.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering excellent client care.
- Contributing to business development activities, networking and marketing initiatives.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk management procedures.
Requirements: To be considered for this Dispute Resolution Solicitor position, you should have:
- Experience handling litigation matters throughout the dispute resolution process.
- Strong drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of clients' wider objectives.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Experience using case management systems and legal research platforms.
- A proactive approach to business development and networking.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- A professional, motivated and client-focused approach, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is £42,000–£45,000, depending on experience.
