I'm working with a specialist, growing law firm looking to appoint a Senior Compliance Solicitor into the team in a key hire for the business. With a focus on building a strong proactive compliance function. This is a high-impact position reporting directly to the COLP, with real influence across governance, risk strategy, and regulatory compliance. A firm with a great compliance culture from top down.

Responsibilities

  • Firm-wide risk management frameworks & compliance oversight
  • SRA, GDPR & AML compliance
  • Internal audits, breach reporting & board-level updates
  • Policy development and implementation across multiple offices
  • Acting as the go-to escalation point for complex compliance matters
  • Exposure to contentious probate or high-risk casework is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (England & Wales)
  • Strong background in legal compliance / risk / regulatory roles
  • Understanding of SRA Standards & governance frameworks
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
  • Experience drafting policies, audits, and delivering training
