The role involves providing administrative and legal support to Family Law Solicitors and Legal Executives, assisting with the day-to-day management of cases and ensuring correspondence is handled accurately and on time.
Duties include:
- Preparing court forms and statements
- Working from written notes and audio dictation
- Managing diaries and appointments
- Handling confidential and sensitive information
- Communicating with clients in a professional and empathetic manner
- Carrying out general administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, photocopying and document pagination
- Managing invoices on private files
- Liaising with external bodies including the Legal Aid Agency and HMCTS via MyPortal
Ideal Candidate
You will be organised, reliable and able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong IT skills and clear written and verbal communication are essential, along with a professional and compassionate approach when dealing with clients in sensitive family matters. Previous experience in a legal or family law environment, including Legal Aid work and HMCTS systems, would be advantageous, although training may be provided.
