My client, a well-established, multi-office Yorkshire law firm is seeking a Probate Solicitor to join its York office.
Key Responsibilities
- The role involves managing a varied private client caseload, including Wills, Powers of Attorney and Probate matters, from initial instruction through to completion.
- You will handle new client enquiries, support other fee earners within the department, and take responsibility for cost drafting, billing and general file management, while maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge.
The Ideal Candidate
- The successful candidate will provide a high standard of professional and friendly client care, working accurately and efficiently in line with established procedures.
- You will be able to communicate complex legal issues clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, and demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail and confident IT ability.
- The role requires someone who can manage competing deadlines, work well under pressure, and operate both independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible, proactive approach is required, including a willingness to travel to nearby offices when needed.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- The role would suit a candidate with around three or more years’ experience in Wills and Probate, although applications are welcomed from candidates at all levels of post-qualification experience, including newly qualified solicitors with relevant experience.
