The Role

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills & Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate
• Tax planning
• Trust administration work
• Court of Protection

Alongside managing your own caseload, you will:

• Provide technical support and guidance to junior members of the team.
• Provide supervision, development and mentoring of colleagues.
• Play a key role in the strategic development of the department.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing referrers and professional contacts.
• Actively contribute to business development, networking and marketing initiatives.
• Help raise the profile of both the department and the firm across local communities and professional networks.

The Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 5+ years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Have extensive experience advising clients across a broad range of private client matters.
• Demonstrate strong technical expertise, particularly in complex estate and tax planning matters.
• Have experience supervising or mentoring junior fee earners.
• Possess excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Be commercially aware, with a proven ability to develop business opportunities.
• Be proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering exceptional client service.
