Principal Associate – Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation
Location: London
Position: Principal Associate specialising in insurance and reinsurance litigation with a particular focus on coverage disputes and advice.
The team represents major London Market insurers, global insurers and reinsurers across a broad range of complex and high‑value claims, advising on technically challenging coverage disputes, defence claims and reinsurance matters across various sectors and policy types.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise insurers and reinsurers on complex coverage and defence matters.
- Handle reinsurance disputes and strategic advisory work.
- Manage international caseloads involving losses/claims in foreign jurisdictions and liaise with local counsel.
Qualifications
- Solicitor with 5–6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) or more.
- Solid background in advising insurers and reinsurers on complex coverage, defence, and reinsurance matters.
- Strong understanding of the London Market and the relationships between insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and lawyers.
- Experience with complex commercial insurance policies and policy interpretation.
