A high-quality, 200 year old law firm in Otley is looking to add a 6+ PQE residential property solicitor/legal executive to their team. The existing head of department plans to retire in the next few years and is currently working part time, so it is time for someone to step into her shoes. The property team values quality, with each fee earner opening 15 matters a month and receiving secretarial support. The team is well respected in the Wharfe Valley region and most work comes from repeat business and legacy clients. For this firm, it is important that the same solicitor/legal executive stays with the same file throughout the process and that clients appreciate this continuity and the service quality they receive. Within the team there are already two other full-time solicitors (one at 4 PQE and one at 1 PQE) and two commercial property partners who handle the high-net-worth transactions. The idea is that the new hire will manage the HNW transactions. Hybrid working is available, though the preference is for someone to be in the office more than not due to the management responsibilities of the role.
Responsibilities
- Handle residential property matters with a focus on quality and continuity for clients.
- Manage high-net-worth residential property transactions in collaboration with two commercial property partners.
- Ensure clients are served by the same solicitor/legal executive throughout the process to maintain continuity and satisfaction.
- Work within a team environment, providing support to other fee earners and adapting to the firm’s quality standards.
- Balance hybrid working with in-office presence to support management and client service needs.
Qualifications
- Solicitor or Legal Executive with 6+ PQE in residential property.
- Experience handling high-net-worth residential property transactions.
- Strong client-service orientation and ability to maintain long-term client relationships.
- Ability to manage files from start to finish with attention to detail and quality of service.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and take on roles that support management and continuity for clients.
