Professional Advocate – Newcastle upon Tyne (travel across the North East)

Up to £45,000 DOE | Full-time, 37.5 hours per week - Flexi Time

A well-established North East legal business is looking to appoint an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer to join their team as a Professional Advocate. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected organisation recognised nationally for its expertise in personal injury and accident management law. The Role

As a Professional Advocate, you’ll represent clients in hearings — particularly Fast Track trials — in the County Court. You’ll prepare cases, conduct research, draft Skeleton Arguments and submissions, and develop effective cross-examinations to secure the best possible outcomes. You’ll also provide guidance on technical and procedural matters to support colleagues across the wider team.

About You

We’re looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer with, ideally, advocacy experience and a solid understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and relevant Pre-Action Protocols. You’ll be commercially aware, confident under pressure, and able to manage your workload effectively. A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills are essential, as is a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
