I'm currently working on an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer to join a highly regarded national General Commercial, Digital & Technology team within a leading UK firm. This is a fantastic role for a commercially minded lawyer looking to work at the forefront of digital transformation, technology, and complex commercial contracting, while being part of a collaborative and forward-thinking national team.
The team brings together expertise across commercial, digital, IP, energy transition and major projects, advising an impressive client base including FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, public sector bodies and international organisations.
The role will involve:
- Advising on complex commercial and technology transactions
- Drafting and negotiating software licensing, IT services and outsourcing agreements
- Supporting digital transformation and major procurement projects
- Advising on data protection, cyber security and emerging AI issues
- Working on supply chain, product development and strategic commercial contracts
- Supporting clients across energy transition, advanced manufacturing and regulated sectors
- Collaboration with colleagues across IP, projects, procurement and regulatory teams
- Working on international matters and cross-border transactions
The ideal candidate will:
- Be 3+ years PQE
- Have experience in commercial contracts, digital, technology or data protection work
- Have trained or worked in a City or strong regional firm or relevant in‐house environment
- Have exposure to complex, high-value transactions
- Be a strong communicator with excellent drafting skills
- Be commercially aware and confident working with non‐legal stakeholders
- Be enthusiastic about technology, innovation and evolving legal frameworks
- Experience in software licensing, IT services, cyber security, AI or international contracting would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
