About the Department
Our Residential and Commercial Property and Probate department is based across our Whitechapel and Clapham Junction offices and currently consists of 12 members of staff. The department continues to grow and build on its success. We have a strong commitment to training and development, offering regular internal training for staff at all levels, alongside support to attend external training courses.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a New Business Executive to join the Whitechapel team. This is a key role combining sales, client care, and compliance, ideal for someone who enjoys converting enquiries into instructions while delivering excellent client service. You will act as the first point of contact for new clients and introducers, playing a central role in client acquisition, onboarding, and revenue growth. Working closely with fee earners, you will help ensure a smooth and professional client journey from initial enquiry through to file opening.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responding to new client and introducer enquiries (phone, email, and online)
- Qualifying prospects and assessing client needs
- Tracking and following up leads to maximise conversion
- Preparing tailored proposals and fee estimates
- Selling and promoting property services over the phone
- Managing client onboarding and file opening
- Carrying out AML checks, ID verification, and source of funds/wealth assessments
- Working closely with fee earners to ensure smooth handover of new matters
- Maintaining accurate records of leads, conversions, and marketing sources
- Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities
- Working towards agreed targets for new client acquisition and revenue
What We're Looking For
Essential- Minimum 2 years' experience in sales and/or client relationship management
- Experience within a legal or professional services environment preferred
- Proven ability to meet or exceed targets
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with onboarding and compliance processes
- Legal secretarial, administrative, or office-based experience
- Confident using IT systems and practice/case management software
- Experience with law firm AML and onboarding procedures
- Experience working with a practice management system
