We are working with a growing law firm that is investing in its Compliance function. This role offers the opportunity to join a national firm with a supportive team and high-quality work. The firm is expanding its conflicts function, splitting the current generalist compliance team. The role provides a pathway for internal progression, with several managers having advanced from analyst to manager.
The role:
- Be the first point of contact for conflict queries from legal teams.
- Provide strategic advice on conflicts of interest, compliance, and reputational risk.
- Investigate and resolve complex conflicts issues on new and existing mandates.
- Support training, documentation, and process improvements across the team.
- Review and analyse conflict reports to identify potential legal or commercial risks.
- Advise on new instructions, changes in scope, and lateral hires in line with firm policies.
- Collaborate with partners and fee earners to resolve conflicts and escalate as necessary.
- Maintain systems such as Intapp and Blackbook, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist with drafting conflicts-related policies, templates, and internal communications.
About you:
- 3+ years in Legal Compliance, specifically focused on Conflicts.
- Strong knowledge of professional conflicts rules.
- Practical experience preventing, managing and identifying conflicts.
- Analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with Intapp.
