The Role
- Supporting a busy Private Client team covering wills, probate, trusts and tax.
- Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing.
- Producing and formatting documents using the firm’s case management system.
- Meeting and speaking with clients, providing helpful and professional support.
- Handling incoming calls and dealing with general queries.
- Setting up and maintaining probate case management modules.
- Recording attendance notes accurately and promptly.
- Taking messages clearly and passing them on without delay.
- Undertaking photocopying, scanning and general administrative work.
- Providing support to other secretaries where needed.
- Managing diaries, scheduling appointments and arranging meetings for fee earners.
- Participating in training and supporting your own professional development.
- Ensuring confidentiality of client and firm information at all times.
- Following internal procedures and completing reasonable requests made by senior staff.
You
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within private client work.
- Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A polite, professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with strong organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
