A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a Conflicts Manager to lead a high-performing conflicts function within its wider Risk & Compliance team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established team, manage complex conflicts issues across multiple jurisdictions, and play a visible role in shaping processes, training and service delivery within a global legal business.

The Role

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the conflicts team, ensuring the efficient assessment and resolution of conflicts queries while maintaining the highest regulatory and professional standards.
  • Act as a key point of escalation for complex matters, partner closely with senior compliance stakeholders, and drive continuous improvements across systems, processes and team performance.
  • Leading and developing a team of conflicts professionals.
  • Managing workflow, resource planning and service levels.
  • Advising on complex legal conflicts and information barrier requirements.
  • Escalating high-risk and technically challenging matters where required.
  • Delivering training, coaching and ongoing development across the team.
  • Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Building strong relationships with lawyers and business stakeholders across the firm.
  • Supporting strategic Risk & Compliance initiatives and projects.

About You

  • Previous law firm conflicts experience.
  • Strong knowledge of legal conflicts and the SRA regulatory framework (global experience benefit).
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to make risk-based decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
