We are seeking an experienced Care Legal Secretary to join a friendly and forward-thinking childcare law team based in Leeds. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about delivering excellent client care and supporting work that makes a real difference to vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing full secretarial support to Care Solicitors
  • Typing legal and court documents, correspondence, and file notes
  • Preparing Legal Aid applications
  • Managing files on the case management system
  • Handling client enquiries and telephone calls professionally
  • Liaising with clients and external professionals
  • Digital dictation (BigHand) and time recording
  • Preparing court bundles and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting the wider team and covering absences when required

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Care / Childcare Law department (or similar)
  • Strong typing and digital dictation skills
  • Excellent communication and telephone manner
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise workloads
