There’s something quite special about being able to enjoy living and working in the Highlands without having to compromise on the quality of your work or your career ambitions.
I’m working with a highly regarded private practice that is looking to welcome an experienced Commercial Dispute Resolution Solicitor to its team, based acrossthe Highlands.
Ideally, you’ll have at least 2 years’ PQE and experience within dispute resolution, but just as important will be your enthusiasm for the work, your approach to clients and your desire to become part of a genuinely supportive team.
The work itself is interesting and incredibly varied.
You’ll advise on a broad range of disputes including contract matters, professional negligence, company and shareholder disputes, banking and financial services litigation, IP and contentious construction, with a particular focus on property disputes and contentious private client work.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on matters before the Sheriff Courts and Court of Session, as well as becoming involved in complex disputes with a cross-border element.
So, whilst this is very much an opportunity to build your career in the north of Scotland, the work certainly isn’t limited by geography.
What I particularly like about this opportunity is the team.
You’ll be working alongside experienced and approachable Partners who want you to do well.
You’ll be given responsibility and encouraged to develop, but you’ll also have the reassurance of knowing there are people around you to offer advice and support when you need it.
As your career develops, you’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships with clients, become involved in business development and establish your own reputation within the local and wider legal market.
For me, this is an opportunity that could suit someone already living in the Highlands just as easily as someone who has perhaps always thought about returning home or making the move north.
You can have excellent quality work, genuine career progression and a supportive working environment while enjoying everything this part of Scotland has to offer.
A competitive salary and benefits package is available, alongside plenty of opportunity to continue developing your career.
