I am currently working with a well-established law firm that is looking for a Senior Legal Assistant to join its Family Department.
You’ll be supporting a Partner on a varied and interesting caseload of high-value and complex family matters, so this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the detail of cases and working in a busy team.
You’ll gain exposure to matters including financial remedy cases, business and trust assets, child arrangements, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation disputes.
Day to day, you’ll provide high-level secretarial and administrative support, prepare legal documents and court bundles, manage diaries and hearings, and liaise with clients, barristers, courts, experts and other professionals.
You’ll also play an important role in keeping matters organised and progressing, from opening new files and maintaining records through to billing, document production, and general case administration.
They are looking for:
- Previous Legal Secretary or Senior Legal Assistant experience
- Family Law experience would be ideal
- Excellent typing, organisation and administration skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Proactive, professional and able to work independently
- Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
In return
you’ll join a supportive team working on genuinely interesting and complex family matters, with benefits including a private medical cash plan, life insurance, enhanced parental pay, company pension and many social activities.
