If you're an experienced Pursuer Personal Injury Solicitor who enjoys handling complex, high-value cases but still wants to have genuine relationships with the people you represent, this could be a really interesting next step.
Due to continued growth and an increasing number of complex and serious injury cases, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Solicitor or Associate to join a well-established Personal Injury team in Glasgow.
You'll ideally have around 5 years' PQE or more and a strong background in pursuer personal injury.
You'll be confident managing your own caseload and will have experience of dealing with both litigated and pre-litigation claims, including complex and higher-value matters.
The work is varied and interesting.
You'll manage cases from the initial stages through to settlement, advising on liability, causation and quantum, instructing experts, drafting pleadings and court documents, negotiating settlements and, importantly, securing interim payments and rehabilitation where appropriate.
For me, one of the most important parts of this role is the client contact.
You'll often be supporting people at an incredibly difficult point in their lives, sometimes following serious and life-changing injuries.
Being technically strong is important, of course, but so is being able to listen, build trust and give your clients the reassurance that their case is in safe hands.
At this level, you'll also have the opportunity to support and mentor junior colleagues, provide technical guidance and play an active role in the continued development of the team.
There will also be opportunities to develop your own profile and become involved in business development.
This is a busy environment, so you'll need to be organised, comfortable taking responsibility and able to manage competing priorities, whilst never losing sight of delivering an excellent service to your clients.
In return, there is a competitive salary dependent on experience, hybrid working, 25 days' annual leave increasing with service and a comprehensive benefits package focused on wellbeing, flexibility and continued professional development.
