We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Family Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team based in Whitley Bay.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with experience in family law who enjoys working in a busy legal environment and takes pride in providing exceptional support to fee earners and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Family Law solicitors.
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence and court forms.
- Audio and copy typing.
- Managing diaries, appointments and client meetings.
- Liaising with clients, courts and third parties in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Opening and closing files and maintaining accurate case records.
- Handling telephone enquiries and providing excellent client care.
- General administrative duties to support the smooth running of the department.
About You
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant, ideally within Family Law.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
