The Opportunity
Working closely with an experienced Private Client fee earner, you'll play a key role in delivering first-class administrative and secretarial support while ensuring an outstanding experience for clients throughout their legal journey.
This is a varied position offering responsibility, autonomy and the chance to become an integral member of a highly regarded legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a Private Client fee earner.
- Managing diaries, arranging client appointments and coordinating meetings.
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, delivering a professional, empathetic and confidential service.
- Preparing, formatting and transcribing legal documentation from digital dictation with exceptional accuracy.
- Drafting and producing a wide range of Private Client documents, including:
- Wills
- Trust documentation
- Powers of Attorney
- HMRC forms
- Client correspondence and legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, professional contacts and third parties.
- Ensuring documentation is produced accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Supporting the wider legal team with administrative tasks where required.
About You
You’ll be an experienced legal secretary who thrives in a client-focused environment and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
We're looking for someone with
- A minimum of one year's experience in a Private Client Legal Secretary or Private Client Legal PA role.
- A sound understanding of Private Client law, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and related legal documentation.
- Excellent typing and digital dictation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, compassionate and confidential approach when supporting clients.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience using legal case management systems or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
