This is a litigation role within a team that operates at scale, but with the structure and support of a well-established national legal business. QED Legal’s client is one of the UK’s largest specialist Recoveries and Dispute Resolution teams, with over 100 professionals delivering litigation and debt recovery services for a wide range of national and commercial clients, including utilities, debt purchasers, local authorities and corporate organisations. The team is continuing to grow and is now looking to appoint a Dispute Resolution Lawyer (Solicitor or Legal Executive) to join its established litigation function, with roles available across Hull or York.
This is a hands‑on litigation position where you will manage your own caseload of dispute resolution and recovery matters, while also working collaboratively on more complex and higher‑value cases within the wider team structure. The work is varied and will include:
- Debt recovery and litigation matters from instruction through to conclusion
- County Court proceedings including drafting claims, defences and applications
- Enforcement and judgment‑related work
- Commercial dispute resolution matters for a national client base
- Advising clients on process, risk and resolution strategy
- Supporting colleagues on more complex or multi‑party disputes
- Maintaining strong client relationships and service delivery standards
To be considered, you will need:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (NQ+ considered)
- Experience in litigation, dispute resolution or debt recovery
- Strong drafting and procedural knowledge of civil litigation
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with support where required
- Confident communication skills with commercial clients
- A practical, organised and detail‑focused approach to work
- Willingness to work within a structured, high‑volume litigation environment
