The Role

  • Acting in proceedings involving vulnerable individuals and family members
  • Advising on issues arising under the Mental Capacity Act 2005

About You

Applications are welcomed from solicitors with solid experience in Court of Protection welfare matters, ideally around 3 years PQE or above, although strong candidates outside this level will also be considered. You should have:

  • Strong knowledge of best interests decision making and Court of Protection procedure
  • Excellent drafting and client care skills
  • Confidence managing a busy and sensitive caseload
  • A proactive and team oriented approach

Experience supervising junior colleagues or trainees would be beneficial, as would experience dealing with matters involving the Official Solicitor or more complex welfare applications.
