I am working with an established and highly regarded Legal 500 law firm with a strong reputation for private client and Court of Protection work. The firm is known for delivering high quality, sensitive and pragmatic advice on complex matters, alongside a genuinely supportive and collegiate culture. The firm is now seeking to recruit a Court of Protection Solicitor with at least one year of post qualification experience to join its well regarded Court of Protection team. The role focuses exclusively on Property and Affairs work and will involve acting on complex and high value estates.

Responsibilities

  • Managing your own caseload
  • Working closely with the Deputy in dealing with the Court of Protection
  • Working closely with the Office of the Public Guardian
  • Working closely with protected parties and their families
  • Preparing general and statutory will applications
  • Representing the Deputy at Court of Protection hearings
  • Investigating suspected financial abuse
  • Assisting with estate administration

Qualifications

  • Experience in Court of Protection Property and Affairs work
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Detail oriented, client focused, and able to explain complex legal issues in a clear and accessible way
