QED Legal's client is looking to appoint a Corporate Solicitor to join its growing Commercial team in York.
This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced commercial lawyers while taking ownership of high-quality transactions for a broad client base of owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and established regional companies.
Rather than being confined to one niche, you'll advise across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, giving you the variety and responsibility needed to continue developing as a trusted adviser.
Your work will include
- Mergers and acquisitions.
- Share and asset sales and purchases.
- Management buyouts.
- Corporate finance transactions.
- Shareholder and partnership agreements.
- Joint ventures.
- Agency, distribution and franchise agreements.
- Company formations and restructures.
- Commercial contracts and terms of business.
- Advising clients on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters.
To be considered, you'll ideally have
- Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years PQE in Corporate, Corporate & Commercial or Company Commercial law.
- Experience handling corporate transactions with increasing levels of autonomy.
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to advise business owners directly.
- An interest in developing long-term client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser.
- Exposure to Commercial Property, Employment or Intellectual Property matters would be advantageous but isn't essential.
