A rare opportunity has arisen for a full-time Corporate Paralegal to join my client’s Derby office. This role provides hands-on experience supporting the corporate team in a variety of commercial matters, giving you exposure to company transactions, compliance work, and client advisory services.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with company formations, restructures, and dissolutions
- Supporting the preparation and review of commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, and corporate documentation
- Conducting due diligence and legal research for corporate transactions
- Liaising with clients, directors, shareholders, and external advisors
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date corporate records, registers, and statutory filings
- Preparing meeting minutes, resolutions, and company filings for Companies House
- Assisting with general administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the corporate team
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
You will bring:
- Previous paralegal experience, ideally in corporate or commercial law
- Strong drafting, research, and document management skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and case management systems
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines efficiently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
- Legal qualifications or relevant experience in corporate law (LLB, LPC, or SQE preparation is advantageous)
