This is an opportunity to join a well-established, highly regarded commercial law practice with a strong reputation across the Midlands and beyond. The firm is known for the quality of its corporate and commercial work, acting for a broad client base that includes owner-managed businesses, growing companies and established organisations. Its Corporate & Commercial team works closely with colleagues in Dispute Resolution, creating a collaborative and commercially focused environment where paralegals gain genuine exposure to high-quality legal work and long-term development is actively encouraged.
The role
- Providing essential legal and administrative support to the Corporate & Commercial team, with exposure to contentious matters where required
- Opening new matters, including file creation and completion of client due diligence and onboarding checks
- Drafting and producing correspondence and legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, third parties and organisations by telephone and email, dealing with routine enquiries professionally
- Coordinating diaries, arranging and attending meetings, preparing agendas and accurately recording minutes
- Maintaining client matter files to ensure they are accurate, compliant and up to date
- Managing key dates and reminder systems
- Assisting with file closing and archiving
- Attending and participating in team meetings
- Supporting day-to-day office administration, including scanning, filing, post handling, answering external calls and greeting clients
