Our professional services client is looking for an In‑house Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer to join their highly regarded legal team. This is a varied role involving drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements. You will also be advising and assisting the business on a wide range of other legal matters. Based in Bristol, the company has a hybrid working policy preferring employees to be in the office 3 days per week.

Ideal Candidate

  • A strong grounding in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements including MSAs, NDAs, framework agreements and other complex commercial contracts.
  • Familiarity with data protection law (UK GDPR).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate legal issues in a business‑friendly way and influence key stakeholders.
  • Able to effectively manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • A UK qualified solicitor with strong academics ranging from 2 to 6 years PQE.
  • Our client envisages that candidates with between 2–6 years PQE plus will have the relevant skills and knowledge for this position; however, this has been given as an approximate guide and the client is happy to consider applicants who fall outside of this range but have the relevant experience.
