QED Legal is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Yorkshire law firm seeking a Commercial Property Lawyer to join its growing property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a property specialist looking to work on a broad and high-quality caseload, with exposure to a diverse range of clients and the support of an experienced senior team. You will join a friendly and collaborative Commercial Property team, working closely with senior lawyers while also managing your own matters. The role offers a strong balance of independent responsibility and supported development, making it suitable for someone looking to build confidence across a wider range of transactional work. The position provides exposure to both straightforward and more complex property matters, with support available to develop experience in specialist areas.
Responsibilities
- Freehold and leasehold sales and acquisitions (commercial and residential elements)
- Conditional land transactions, including planning-related sales
- Development agreements and site acquisitions
- Option agreements and overage arrangements
- Leasehold work for both landlords and tenants
- Easements and property rights issues
- Secured lending transactions
- Property portfolio and investment finance
- Collaboration with agricultural and corporate teams on mixed asset matters
Candidate requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in Commercial Property (more experienced candidates also considered)
- Strong technical grounding in property transactions
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team
- Confidence in managing client relationships and external contacts
- An interest in developing experience across a wider range of property work
- Willingness to engage in networking and relationship-building activity
