We're working with a well-established, multi-servicelaw firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to support the senior leadership team

This is a fantastic opportunity for an established compliance professional looking to take ownership of a broad, varied role, working closely with senior leadership to drive the firm's risk and compliance strategy while supporting fee earners across the business.

The Role?

As Risk & Compliance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the firm continues to meet its regulatory obligations while embedding a strong culture of compliance across the business.

  • Managing the firm's day-to-day risk and compliance function.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for regulatory and compliance queries.
  • Overseeing AML, client due diligence and ongoing monitoring processes.
  • Managing conflicts of interest and confidentiality issues.
  • Supporting the firm's COLP and senior leadership on regulatory matters.
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Delivering compliance training to colleagues across the firm.
  • Conducting file reviews, audits and monitoring activities.
  • Investigating compliance breaches and recommending improvements.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring the firm's processes remain compliant.
  • Producing management information and compliance reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting wider business projects, accreditations and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You?

  • Previous experience working within legal risk and compliance, in SRA regulated firm
  • A strong understanding of the SRA Standards and Regulations.
  • Good working knowledge of AML legislation, CDD, KYC and sanctions requirements.
  • Experience carrying out file reviews and compliance monitoring.
  • The confidence to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
