Are you an experienced Conveyancing Assistant looking to join a busy and supportive Residential Property team? We are seeking a proactive and organised Conveyancing Assistant to provide essential support to a team of residential conveyancing lawyers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering outstanding client service.
The Role
As a key member of the team, you will assist with a wide range of conveyancing matters, ensuring transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening and closing client files
- Preparing and processing correspondence and legal documentation
- Managing and updating case management systems
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
- Using online portals including Land Registry, LMS and Lender Exchange
- Supporting fee earners with administrative and transactional tasks
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within residential conveyancing
- Experience using conveyancing case management systems (P4W experience would be advantageous)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A professional and client-focused approach
- A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
