The Role
- Manage a varied caseload of Commercial Disputes matters from instruction through to resolution.
- Advise a diverse client base including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, national organisations, insurers and corporate clients.
- Handle matters involving contractual disputes, property litigation, breach of directors' duties, trespass, nuisance and other complex commercial disputes.
- Work within an insurance-backed litigation environment, considering policy coverage and supporting claims handling where appropriate.
- Represent clients throughout the litigation process across the relevant courts and tribunals.
- Collaborate with experienced commercial litigators on high-value and technically challenging matters.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with clients, insurers, counsel and other key stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, including trainees and paralegals.
- Deliver commercially focused advice that helps clients navigate legal and business risk with confidence.
- You
- Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent).
- Experience managing a varied Commercial Disputes or Litigation caseload.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial litigation.
- Comfortable working autonomously while enjoying collaboration with colleagues.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Insurance litigation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
