Looking for a Personal Injury Solicitor who can get stuck in and take ownership of their own caseload, this could be a great opportunity. You will manage a varied caseload of around 100 files, dealing with a mix of road traffic accident and personal injury matters from start to finish. This includes both pre‑litigation work and cases that progress through the courts, giving you plenty of variety in your day‑to‑day work.
Handle claims under the Compulsory Pre‑Action Protocol and, where required, take cases through litigation in the Sheriff Courts and the All‑Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court. There will be regular opportunities to appear in court, including procedural hearings and Proofs, making this a great role if you enjoy advocacy.
Draft key legal documents such as summonses, defences, adjustments, minutes of tender, and joint minutes. Carry out liability investigations, review medical evidence, and assess the value of claims. Work closely with clients—advise on settlement strategy and negotiate with opposing agents to achieve the best possible outcome.
You will join a supportive team where you will have the autonomy to run your own cases, with guidance when you need it. A competitive salary is offered together with generous benefits, including a performance‑related bonus.
