I’m currently working on an excellent opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a top-tier Professional & Commercial Risk team with a strong reputation in the insurance market. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer looking to undertake intellectually stimulating and high-quality work within a nationally recognised team that is consistently ranked Tier 1 in the legal directories.
The successful candidate will play a key role in a specialist team advising leading insurers on Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O) insurance matters, alongside broader financial lines coverage work. The role will involve:
- Advising insurers on complex D&O and management liability coverage matters
- Defending claims against directors, officers and insured companies
- Advising on coverage issues across a range of financial lines policies, including Crime and Financial Institutions insurance
- Working closely with specialists across employment, regulatory and white collar crime teams
- Building and maintaining strong insurer client relationships
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the wider team
The ideal candidate will:
- Be 3+ years PQE
- Have experience advising on insurance coverage matters, ideally within financial lines / D&O policies
- Ideally have trained or worked within a specialist insurance practice or insurer environment
- Be commercially minded with strong analytical skills
- Be confident managing client relationships and handling complex matters
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of an ambitious and high-performing team
- Experience undertaking secondments with financial lines insurers would be advantageous but is not essential.
