Are you an experienced Legal Administrator or Legal Secretary looking for your next opportunity within Litigation?

A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Thame, Oxfordshire is looking for a Legal Administrator to join its friendly and busy Litigation team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous legal administration, secretarial or law firm experience who enjoys providing high-quality support and wants to become an integral part of a collaborative legal team.

The Role

Working closely with solicitors, fee earners and other members of the Litigation department, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to help ensure matters are managed efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, formatting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, forms and reports
• Audio typing and accurately transcribing digital dictation
• Assisting with the preparation of court bundles, enclosures and case documentation
• Opening new client files and closing completed matters
• Maintaining accurate information on the firm's case management system
• Handling incoming telephone calls, emails and correspondence
• Providing general administrative support to fee earners and the wider Litigation team
• Ensuring confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately
• Following internal procedures and relevant legal and regulatory requirements

About You

Previous experience as a Legal Administrator, Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant within a law firm would be highly advantageous. Litigation experience would be beneficial, although candidates with strong legal administrative experience from another practice area are also encouraged to apply.

You will ideally have:

• Strong audio typing and digital dictation skills
• Fast and accurate typing ability
• Excellent spelling, grammar and document formatting skills
• A good understanding of legal terminology and law firm procedures
• Excellent organisation and workload management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Confident and professional communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• A professional approach to confidentiality and sensitive information
