If you've got a couple of years' commercial property experience and are ready for a role where you're trusted with more of the work, this could be worth a conversation.
I'm working with an established regional law firm that is continuing to grow its Commercial Property practice and is looking to add a solicitor at around 2 PQE.
The attraction here isn't simply having another commercial property role on your CV. It's the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers, get closer to clients and gradually take more ownership of your own matters.
The caseload is varied, covering the sort of commercial property transactions you'd expect to see within a broad regional practice, with plenty of scope to develop your technical experience rather than becoming restricted to one particular type of work.
You'll have direct contact with clients and other professionals, be involved in progressing matters from start to finish and have the opportunity to understand the commercial reasons behind the transaction rather than simply dealing with the legal process.
- Solid grounding in Commercial Property
- Experience dealing with yourown matters, appropriate to your level
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients
- Wants to broaden your technical experience
- Capable of independent and collaborative working and keen to draw on more experienced colleagues
- Practical approach to solving problems and progressing transactions
- Ambitious regarding a career in Commercial Property
The team is collaborative and there's genuine room to develop.
You won't be expected to arrive as the finished article, but you will be expected to take responsibility, contribute and keep progressing.
The wider client base is varied, giving you exposure to businesses and professional clients and the opportunity to build relationships that can develop as your career does.
