The Role
Working as part of a busy Private Client department, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners across a varied caseload. Your responsibilities will include:
- Audio and copy typing, including correspondence and legal documents
- Diary and appointment management
- Preparing, formatting and amending documents
- Managing correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries
- Liaising professionally with clients and other third parties
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper files
- Supporting fee earners with the day-to-day administration of Private Client matters
- Using the firm's case management and IT systems
- Helping to ensure clients receive a professional and responsive service
About You
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within Private Client, Wills, Probate, Trusts or Estate Administration would be particularly advantageous. However, applications are also welcomed from experienced Legal Secretaries or Legal Administrators who have worked within other areas of law and are interested in moving into Private Client.
You should have:
- Previous legal secretarial or legal administration experience
- Strong audio and copy typing skills
- Excellent organisation and diary management skills
- Confident IT and document production skills
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy legal environment
- A positive, collaborative and team-focused approach
Previous experience using Tikit, PW4 or Partner for Windows would be beneficial but is not essential.
