We're working with a leading international law firm looking to strengthen its London-based conflicts team as part of continued investment in its global risk function.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a highly collaborative, multi-jurisdictional team, working closely with colleagues across the UK, US and APAC. You'll play a key role in supporting the firm's approach to client onboarding, new matters, and broader risk management.
This is a truly technical role, looking for someone with a strong commercial accumen and ability to dive into technical conversations
The Role?
You'll be involved in the end-to-end conflicts process, supporting lawyers and partners globally on a wide range of matters. The work is varied, fast-paced, and commercially focused.
- Managing conflict checks on new matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Analysing and resolving legal and commercial conflicts of interest
- Advising partners and lawyers on conflict issues, firm policies, and risk considerations
- Supporting matter risk assessments, including reputational, sanctions, and financial crime risks
- Working closely with financial crime and compliance teams on client onboarding
- Assisting with the implementation and management of information barriers
- Collaborating with international teams to ensure a consistent and seamless global service
- Contributing to process improvements and the development of conflicts systems and tools
About you?
- Qualified lawyer in England & Wales
- Experience in a conflicts, risk, or compliance role within a law firm or professional services environment

- Understanding of conflicts of interest and confidentiality obligations
- Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and the ability to assess risk in a practical way
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
Exposure to US conflicts rules would be advantageous but isn't essential.
