A leading national law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Real Estate Disputes Solicitor to join its nationally recognised team in Cambridge.
This is an opportunity to work on a high-quality and varied caseload of complex commercial property disputes, alongside experienced Partners and colleagues, within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The role
You’ll advise a diverse client base, including investors, developers, government bodies, universities, hospital trusts and charities, on the prevention and resolution of property disputes.
Your work will cover a broad range of commercial leasehold and freehold matters, with opportunities to gain exposure to residential and agricultural disputes. This may include:
- Possession and forfeiture claims
- Lease renewals and rent reviews
- Adverse possession and rights of way
- Restrictive covenant and option disputes
- Property-related nuisance, trespass and anti-social behaviour matters
You’ll handle matters through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution and, where necessary, proceedings in the High Court, County Court and Tribunals.
Alongside managing your own caseload, you’ll support Partners on larger matters, supervise junior lawyers and contribute to business development, marketing and seminars.
About you
The firm is looking for a solicitor with around 6+ years’ PQE and a broad range of hands-on real estate disputes experience, particularly involving court and tribunal work.
You’ll have strong technical and analytical skills, excellent drafting ability and a pragmatic approach to resolving complex issues. Strong client relationship skills, good organisation and an interest in developing new business will also be important.
