The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

To act as part of a Healthcare Security Team that delivers patient and staff safety support, car park customer services, crime prevention patrols and Facilities support services.

To carry out internal and external patrols of all Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust premises to deter crime, vandalism and acts of violence against Trust staff and assets.

To respond to all patient and staff safety incidents.

CCTV operation and monitoring including the processing of data requested by the Police for client approval.

To provide an on-site and off-site alarm response service.

The support and management of clinically related challenging behaviour.

To complete comprehensive incident reports and associated assignment documentation.

To liaise with Police as required for incident management.

To provide escort duties if and when required.

To provide general assistance to all staff, visitors and patients.

The operation of all car parking systems including barrier management and first line response fault fixing, consumable replenishment and the collections of takings.

Report building defects to ensure remedial action is taken

QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England.

We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA).

In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.

QE Facilities work to their own Terms and Conditions and these are not the same as Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Terms and Conditions. This is not an Agenda for Change Pay Rate.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are unable to offer employment under any sponsorship arrangement.

  • Knowledge of the application of all regulatory and legislative requirements required to ensure a Healthy & Safe environment including: Infection Prevention and Control; Safe Working; Lone Working; and Manual Handling; Patient and Customer Care (D).
  • Basic knowledge of the law and Use of Force Legislation..
  • Patient and client interactions which portray a professional, supportive and caring service (E).
  • Security procedures and protocols (D).
  • Constructive team working and participation including multi-disciplinary team relationships(E).
  • Personal organisation and time management with strong attention to detail (E).
  • Physically able to carry out physical intervention techniques.(E).
